A guided group dye session — bring your team, your workshop, or your community and leave with something made by everyone’s hands.

Group dash dye sessions take an hour and a half and participants leave with items bagged and ready to be washed. The first fifteen minutes are for connecting on a human level. We talk about what colors lights everyone up, then transition to the swatches — I pull out my 150 dye swatches and everyone can pull out colors that feel like them and then we build a palette.

From there, everyone’s in it. I show them the basic technique, then mostly get out of your way as everyone develops their patterns. Your pieces gets bagged and sets for about 4 hours, then gets rinsed and dried at your home.

The $75 session fee covers instruction and color guidance for dyeing five garments— how to choose, mix, and apply color in ways that align with your personal palette. Bring multiple pieces to build a cohesive color story across an outfit. Additional items to dye are priced separately at $10 each.

Sessions are held at the More ∞ Joy studio in Grand Rapids, Michigan. No experience needed — all materials and guidance are provided.
